The Full dions Story
It all started with a single location on the west side of Albuquerque. Dion's opened its doors in 1978 with one goal: make the best dion's pizza in New Mexico using locally sourced produce, hand-tossed dough, and recipes that respect the craft.
Word spread quickly. Lines wrapped around the building on weekends. Families drove across the city for our signature thin-crust dions pizza. What began as a neighborhood spot became a city institution — a place woven into the fabric of Albuquerque culture.
Decades later, we've grown to over a dozen locations across New Mexico, but our soul hasn't changed. Every location still makes dough fresh daily. Every salad is hand-chopped. Every sauce is house-made. Because when you've been doing something right for 45 years, you don't cut corners.

Dion's opens its first location in Albuquerque, NM. Founder Dion DiCenzo serves his family's hand-tossed dion's pizza recipe to a neighborhood hungry for something authentic.
The Menu Expands
Growing demand leads dions to introduce its now-famous sub sandwiches and garden salads, establishing the full dions menu experience that fans love today.
Expansion Begins
Dion's opens its 3rd and 4th locations across Albuquerque as the brand grows into a full regional presence. The dions pizza recipe stays identical at every location.
